Poetry by Betty

I apologize for stuffing you like a marionette
To distract my brain from my anxious thoughts.
No matter the hard roads I take you on,
You welcome me back with open arms.
Thank you.
For letting me fit in when I feel stretched out.
When I would rather flee, you hold me down.
For carrying my being in gracious motions
And turning my little thoughts into actions.
Thank you.
I am at home, when I am with you
Therefore, I am at home wherever I go.

Thanks for the food for thought. In this world, nothing truly belongs to us except our own body
